Traffic police launch drive against wrong parking in Srinagar City | KNO

In its continuous efforts to curb the menace of wrong parking, parking of vehicles / bikes on footpaths (placing vehicles /bikes) for sale, Traffic Police City Srinagar launched special drive against wrong parking. Special focuses were given to Karan Nagar, Lal Chowk, H.S.H.S & Jehangir Chowk. During the special drive 934 traffic violators were booked under M.V Act which includes 118 two wheelers, 199 Passenger Service Vehicles, 478 LMV’s and 143 vehicles were seized. The General Public is requested to desist from wrong / obstructive parking and is requested to park their vehicles only at the designated parking places to avoid inconvenience to the commuters and to avoid deterrence from the Court of law. Traffic Police City Srinagar sought co-operation of general public to make drive successful.
